About Beltline, Calgary
Beltline is one of Calgary’s most urban residential communities, immediately south of downtown. The modern community was created in 2003 by bringing together the historic Connaught and Victoria Park districts, whose roots go back to the early 1900s. Its name comes from an early Calgary streetcar route. The 2021 Census counted about 25,880 residents in private households, making it a substantial Calgary neighbourhood. Created as a merger of Connaught and Victoria Park.
